NewsIconThere used to be a lot of talk about the sport of boxing dying.  The funny thing is the “talk” about the sport losing popularity is itself dying.  There’s been some good fights lately, decent match-ups, and potential great fights on the horizon which have fans talking.  With that said, lets look at some of the latest news and bits from the world of professional boxing.

This Saturday, Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez clash in an intriguing match for Martinez’s WBC middleweight title.  More here.

WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin will take on Daniel Geale on July 26th at Madison Square Garden.  More here.
