Danny Garcia had his hands full Saturday night when he fought Mauricio Herrera at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. On the under-card, upcoming heavyweight Deontay Wilder fought his toughest challenge to date, Malik Scott and defeated him easily.
Danny Garcia kept his super lightweight title with a majority decision over tough Mauricio Herrera. Garcia is now 28-0. Herrera falls to 20-4.
Heavyweight Deontay Wilder, 28, is looking for bigger fights after his one round destruction of Malik Scott. Wilder stayed on the outside, throwing jabs then a straight right which sent Scott down and out. Wilder improves to 31-0 with all 31 wins coming via knockout. Scott falls to 36-2-1.
