Garcia wins decision, Wilder knocks out Scott

NewsIconDanny Garcia had his hands full Saturday night when he fought Mauricio Herrera at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  On the under-card, upcoming heavyweight Deontay Wilder fought his toughest challenge to date,  Malik Scott and defeated him easily.


Danny Garcia kept his super lightweight title with a majority decision over tough Mauricio Herrera.   Garcia is now 28-0.  Herrera falls to 20-4.

Heavyweight Deontay Wilder, 28, is looking for bigger fights after his one round destruction of Malik Scott.  Wilder stayed on the outside, throwing jabs then a straight right which sent Scott down and out.  Wilder improves to 31-0 with all 31 wins coming via knockout.  Scott falls to 36-2-1.
