On this day in BOXING history: David Reid wins Gold in Atlanta – 1996

Today in boxing history, David Reid knocks out Alfredo Duvergel in the third round to win the Olympic gold medal in the light-middleweight division. Reid became the only American boxer to win a gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta games.
